Privé, Le Bernardin's private dining space, was already set up to deliver a five star dining experience, so making it also a branded and memorable PwC event was going to be a unique challenge. When we for the site visit, we knew right away that a few signs in the space was not going to cut it.
With the E&M Outlook highlighting disruption in the industry — media is being consumed in new and unexpected places, we decided to transform the entire dining table into our canvas for communication, with a full evening's show presented on their plates, from start to finish.

Art direction for the experience included turning the tables into a koi pond in the rain, with fish swimming beneath the surface, water lilies blooming on plates, and droplets rippling in brand colors across the surface. Instead of a printed menu, we instead presented it visually on the plates.
We worked directly with a photographer and chefs to capture each stage of the nine dishes being constructed, which we then composited and animated on plates, while the menu typography itself was animated on the table tops.
We collaborated with Grand Street Media to bring our vision and our message to life with high resolution projection mapping, completely transforming the table and fine art on the wall, and presenting the menu visually onto the tables and plates along with findings from the report.
Chef Eric Ripert came to inspect his dining room and couldn't help posting a selfie to Instagram.
